Trip Description
The Annapurna Circuit is often called the “Apple Pie Trek” due to its comfortable teahouses, yet it remains a high-altitude challenge. It transitions from lush subtropical valleys and rice paddies to the arid, Tibetan-like plateau of Manang, culminating in the crossing of the Thorong La Pass (5,416m).
Trip Highlights
- Thorong La Pass (5,416m): The highest point and the ultimate physical challenge of the trek.
- Muktinath Temple: A sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists with 108 water sprouts.
- Manang Village: A cultural hub where you’ll acclimatize while viewing the Gangapurna Glacier
- Kali Gandaki Gorge: The deepest gorge in the world, located between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs.
- Apple Orchards: Enjoy fresh cider and pie in the village of Marpha.
